On the heels of a Nintendo Direct that highlighted The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Nintendo of America tweeted a picture of the legendary Master Sword looking rusty and corroded.
The sword’s new look was posted with no context nor any accompanying text, leading to much speculation on what caused the Master Sword to look worse-for-wear. There are jokes about the weapon degradation system almost certainly coming back in Tears of the Kingdom–perhaps now possibly including the Master Sword?
